What items can't I bring on a Greyhound?

Modified on Tue, 29 Sep at 6:04 AM

For the safety of our passengers, Coach Captains and team members, some items can't travel on Greyhound services.

These include:

  • Flammable Goods
  • Ammunition
  • Animals
  • Dry Ice
  • Fireworks
  • E-bikes
  • E-scooters
  • E-skateboards
  • Illegal goods
  • Dangerous goods
  • Hoverboards and similar devices
  • Any other lithium battery-powered transport devices
  • Any item that may pose a safety risk to passengers, staff or the coach

Important: If you book additional baggage for a bicycle and arrive with an e-bike, e-scooter or other lithium battery-powered transport device, the item will not be accepted for travel. In these circumstances, you may be refused carriage and may not be eligible for a refund. Please review our Terms & Conditions of Carriage before travelling.

What about mobility aids?

We understand many customers rely on mobility equipment when travelling. Manual wheelchairs are welcome, and some

battery-powered mobility aids and electric wheelchairs may be able to travel provided they meet our safety and handling requirements. We understand these requirements vary depending on the type of battery and equipment; therefore, we recommend contacting us before travel so we can assess your needs and make suitable arrangements.

If you're travelling with a mobility aid, please submit a Special Assistance Request before departure and our Customer Experience Team will be in touch.
