Yes. We know many of our passengers are travelling with more than just a suitcase, so we can carry a range of non-standard items.
The following items can be added to your booking:
- Surfboards, surf-skis and sailboards: $15 per item
- Bicycles: $49 per bicycle (standard bicycles only)
If you're bringing a surfboard, surf-ski or sailboard, it must be packed in protective, damage-absorbent material and be no longer than 2 metres.
A few important things to keep in mind:
- All non-standard baggage must travel with a booked passenger.
- All items must weigh 20kg or less.
- Space is limited and subject to availability.
- E-bikes, e-scooters and other lithium battery-powered transport devices cannot travel on Greyhound services for safety reasons.
If you're planning to travel with a surfboard, bicycle or other oversized item, we recommend adding it to your booking before you travel to avoid any surprises on the day.
We also recommend labelling your luggage before travelling. You can download and print our free luggage tags.
Important: Greyhound is not responsible for lost, damaged or stolen luggage. We recommend reviewing our Terms and Conditions and considering travel insurance before you travel.
If you book additional baggage for a bicycle and arrive with an e-bike, e-scooter or other lithium battery-powered transport device, the item will not be accepted for travel. In these circumstances, you may be refused carriage of the item and may not be eligible for a refund. Please review our Terms and Conditions before travelling.
