What should I bring on board my Greyhound trip?

Modified on Tue, 29 Sep at 6:03 AM

We recommend bringing a few essentials to help you stay comfortable during your journey.

Items such as a phone charger, headphones, a jumper, water bottle and snacks can make travelling more enjoyable, particularly on longer trips. You may also like to bring a book, tablet, travel pillow or anything else you'll need to relax along the way.

Please note: Greyhound does not provide food or drinks onboard, so we recommend bringing your own refreshments for the journey.

Free Wi-Fi and USB charging ports are available onboard most services.
While you're welcome to charge your devices during your journey, we still recommend bringing a power bank, especially for longer trips. USB ports and Wi-Fi availability can be affected by operational requirements, equipment faults, network coverage and other factors outside our control.

While we aim to provide a reliable onboard experience, we can't guarantee that Wi-Fi or USB charging will always be available or operating as expected. For this reason, we recommend downloading any movies, music, podcasts or travel documents before you depart.

For longer journeys, we also recommend:
  • Bringing a power bank to keep your devices charged throughout the trip
  • Packing any medication you may need during your journey
  • Bringing enough water and snacks for the duration of your trip
  • Dressing comfortably and packing a light jumper, as temperatures can vary
  • Keeping important items, such as your wallet, phone, and travel documents, in your carry-on bag

A little preparation before you travel can help make your journey more comfortable from departure to arrival.
