Can I bring a manual wheelchair or mobility aid?

Yes. Manual wheelchairs, walking frames and rolling walkers can travel free of charge and will be safely stored in the luggage compartment during your journey.

To travel with a manual wheelchair or mobility aid, you'll need to meet Greyhound's Independent Travel Conditions and be able to transfer from your mobility aid to a standard coach seat using the coach stairs.

A few things to keep in mind:
  • Manual wheelchairs, walking frames and rolling walkers travel free of charge.
  • Manual chairs and mobility aids must weigh 20kg or less to meet safe handling requirements.
  • Most passengers will travel in a standard coach seat, with their mobility aid stored beneath the coach.

Important: electric wheelchairs and mobility scooters cannot be stored in the luggage compartment. For more information about accessible travel, please explore our Special Assistance & Accessible Travel FAQ's and knowledge articles.
