Can I get a refund if I change my mind or my travel plans change?

Modified on Tue, 29 Sep at 6:46 AM

Refund eligibility for change of plans depends on the type of fare and travel you have purchased.

Tickets

If you purchased a Flexible Fare with Travel Sure and contact us at least 1 hour before departure, you may be eligible for a refund of the ticket value, provided travel hasn't commenced.

Please note that booking fees and the Travel Sure fee are non-refundable.

Early Bird tickets and Flexible Fare tickets without Travel Sure are non-refundable when your travel plans change.

Travel Passes

Travel Passes may be eligible for a refund if travel hasn't commenced and the Pass hasn't expired. A 10% cancellation fee applies. See our Travel Pass FAQs for more information.

Travel Packages

Travel Packages are generally non-refundable if your plans change or you no longer wish to travel.

Good to know

  • Flexible Fare tickets can be changed or deferred for up to 12 months, up to 1 hour before departure.
  • Early Bird tickets can't be changed. There may be options to upgrade, contact Customer Experience Team to discuss upgrading to a Flexible Fare. Fare differences and administration fees apply.
  • If you cancel your ticket, a refund is not automatic, and the fare rules apply.
  • If we cancel your service, we'll automatically defer your travel for up to 12 months, regardless of fare type (excludes passes).
  • If a cancelled service affects a return trip or connection, only the affected service will be deferred. Contact us if the cancellation impacts the rest of your journey with Greyhound.
  • For more information, see What happens if Greyhound cancels my service?
