Can I cancel my Greyhound ticket?

Modified on Thu, 23 Apr at 6:57 PM

Yes, you can cancel your booking, however your options depend on the type of ticket you purchased.

To cancel your booking, you’ll need to contact the Greyhound Call Centre

After cancelling, what happens next depends on your ticket type.

Early Bird and Advantage tickets

  • Early Bird tickets are not refundable and cannot be changed.
  • Advantage tickets are not refundable however you may be able to change the date and time of your booking, subject to availability and fare conditions.

Flexible tickets

  • If you purchased Travel Sure at the time of booking, you may be eligible for a refund, in line with the Travel Sure conditions.
  • If you did not purchase Travel Sure, you can either change your travel date or time (subject to availability) or cancel your booking in exchange for an open‑dated ticket. Open‑dated tickets remain valid for up to twelve months from the original booking date.

Important things to know

  • Refunds are not automatic and depend on your fare type and booking conditions.
  • If you booked through a travel agent, your cancellation and refund request must be handled by that agent.
  • Always check the fare rules shown at the time of booking, as these form part of the contract of carriage.
  • For full details about cancellations, refunds, and open‑dated tickets, please review Greyhound Australia’s Terms and Conditions of Carriage on our website.
