Whether Greyhound will refund your ticket depends on the reason for the cancellation and the fare type you purchased.
If a Greyhound service is cancelled for reasons within our control, such as operational issues, a refund may be offered. Refund eligibility depends on your fare type and the conditions attached to your ticket.
If a service is cancelled due to events outside Greyhound’s control, such as floods, fires, cyclones, or other natural events, refunds are not guaranteed. In these situations, a refund may not be available and another reasonable remedy, such as an open‑dated ticket or credit, may be offered instead.
Some fare types or packages may be eligible for a refund; however a 10% administration fee may apply in certain cases.
If a refund is not available, you may be able to claim any losses through your travel insurance.
Important things to know
- Refunds are not automatic and are assessed based on fare conditions.
- Natural disasters and safety‑related cancellations are outside Greyhound’s control.
- Refund options vary between fare types and packages.
- Always review the Terms and Conditions of Carriage that applied at the time of booking.
