What happens if Greyhound cancels my service?

Modified on Tue, 29 Sep at 6:43 AM

If your service is cancelled, we've got you covered. We'll automatically defer your travel, giving you up to 12 months to use your ticket on the same route. If you're travelling on a Pass, we'll remove the affected travel so you can easily add a new date and time when you're ready.

Simply log in to Manage Booking and choose a new travel date that suits you. If you'd prefer a different option, you may also be eligible for G-Dollars or a refund for the affected service.

If you'd prefer another option, you may be able to:
  • Travel on another available Greyhound service.
  • Keep your ticket available for future travel within the applicable 12-month period.
  • Convert the eligible ticket value into G-Dollars if you have a My Greyhound account.
  • Request a refund for the affected service through our Cancelled Service Enquiry form.

Things to know
  • Rebooking and alternative travel options are subject to availability.
  • Greyhound is not responsible for additional costs caused by a cancellation, including accommodation, flights, transfers or other independently booked travel arrangements.
  • We are unable to reimburse costs associated with other transport providers or services booked separately from Greyhound.
  • If you have travel insurance, your provider may be able to assist with additional costs, depending on your policy.
  • Administration fees apply to any changes to bookings made through our Customer Experience Team and Coach Captains.

Need a hand?

If your travel is affected by a delay, cancellation or disruption, we'll keep you updated as information becomes available. Our Customer Experience Team is here to help, review our Contact Us options.

Wait times may be longer during peak periods.

Important: We understand delays, cancellations and travel disruptions can be frustrating, we ask that all interactions remain respectful. Abusive, threatening or aggressive behaviour towards our team members or Coach Captains will not be tolerated. In these circumstances, we may refuse travel in line with our Terms and Conditions, and refunds are generally not available.
